What Is The Mindfulness Movement?
Kids Yoga, Mindfulness & Emotional Wellness
The Mindfulness Movement is a purpose-driven organization that brings mindfulness, yoga, and social-emotional learning (SEL) to kids, teens, families, and schools. We help young people build focus, confidence, emotional regulation, and resilience — through intentional movement, mindful breathing, creative expression, and supportive community.
Whether through after-school yoga clubs, before-school reset sessions, non-school day camps, or classroom-integrated programs, our goal is the same: to give kids tools they can use everyday — in school, at home, and everywhere in between.
Our Mission
The Mindfulness Movement exists to help all children:
We do this by integrating mindfulness and movement in ways that are:
âś” Trauma-informed
âś” Age-appropriate
âś” Developmentally grounded
âś” Playful yet purposeful
What We Teach
Our programs blend evidence-based mindfulness practices with engaging activities, including:
Mindful Movement & Yoga
Using fun, body-aware movement to:
Support strength, coordination, and flexibility
Improve focus and nervous system regulation
Encourage body confidence without pressure
Mindfulness Practices
Techniques kids can apply anywhere:
Breathwork for regulation
Body scans for calm
Guided reflection for emotional insight
Sensory grounding for focus
Creative Expression
Hands-on projects that build calm:
Sensory art
Journaling prompts
Guided mindful crafts
By combining movement, mindfulness, expression, kids gain tools that support them in real-life moments, not just on the mat.

📍 Where We Teach
What Makes Us Different
-
Kids aren’t small adults — and neither should their mindfulness instruction be. Every session is crafted with child development in mind.
-
All programs are designed by licensed teacher and mindfulness educator Tara Willits, bringing classroom expertise and nervous-system-aware approaches to every class. Our instructors are highly educated and deliver top-tier teaching.
-
Kids learn skills they can use:
Before a test
During big emotions
After recess chaos
At bedtime or transitions
This isn’t just “yoga class.” It’s a series of emotional and physical tools for everyday life.
