This program is especially helpful for children who:

  • Don’t love competitive sports

  • Are shy or slow to warm up

  • Have big feelings

  • Need confidence

  • Need movement after school

  • Would benefit from calming tools

  • Do best in smaller groups

  • Enjoy art, movement, and creative activities

Not every child loves competitive sports — but every child still needs movement, confidence, and a place to belong.

After a full day of school, many kids don’t need more pressure. They need a place to move, reset, build confidence, and feel successful.

That’s exactly what Mindful Movement Kids™ is designed to provide.

Mindful Movement Kids™ gives children a supportive space to stretch, play, and learn calming tools through yoga, mindfulness, and creative movement designed just for kids!

Led by licensed teacher and mindfulness educator Tara Willits, this small-group program blends playful yoga, breathing exercises, and social-emotional learning to help children feel confident, regulated, and connected. Tara has experience teaching thousands of children through school programs and community education partnerships.

This program helps children:

  • Build confidence and self-awareness

  • Learn calming strategies for big emotions

  • Improve focus and listening skills

  • Strengthen coordination and body awareness

  • Practice kindness, cooperation, and positive connection

  • Feel successful in a non-competitive environment

What kids experience each week:

  • Playful yoga poses and movement games

  • Mindfulness and breathing activities

  • Imagination-based relaxation and guided calm time

  • Confidence and friendship-building activities

  • A welcoming, inclusive environment where every child belongs

No yoga experience is needed — just comfortable clothes and a readiness to move and have fun.

This is not a competitive activity.
It’s a space where kids can move freely, feel successful, and leave feeling calm, confident, and proud of themselves.

Parents often tell us they notice:

  • Increased confidence

  • Better emotional regulation

  • Improved listening and focus

  • Calming tools kids use at home

  • Positive friendships and social confidence

  • Kids who are proud of themselves

This is a small-group program, and spots are limited to keep the experience supportive and personalized.
