Frequently Asked Questions – Mounds View Summer Camp

This camp includes a mix of outdoor exploration and indoor activities. We take advantage of nature-inspired play when weather allows and always have indoor space available for crafts, mindful movement, and calming activities.

No experience is needed at all. This camp is designed for all ability levels, including children who are brand new to yoga, mindfulness, or structured movement activities.

Children should wear comfortable clothing they can move in and closed-toe shoes for outdoor play. Please bring:
A water bottle
A snack
All craft supplies and materials are provided.

Yes. Magical Woodlands Quest is intentionally designed to be gentle, inclusive, and confidence-building. Activities focus on cooperation rather than competition, and children are supported in participating at their own comfort level.

This camp is designed for children Grades 6+. Activities are adaptable to meet different developmental levels so all campers feel successful and included.

The camp is led by licensed educator Tara Willits of The Mindfulness Movement, in partnership with New Brighton Parks & Recreation, with a focus on safety, emotional well-being, and joyful learning.

Group sizes are intentionally kept small to ensure individualized attention, meaningful connections, and a calm, supportive environment. Space is limited.

Yes! Campers will bring home their forest wands, confidence crowns, fairy gardens, kindness stones, and other magical creations made throughout the week.
