Pop-Star Power blends four powerful modalities into one morning your child will count down to all year.
💃
K-Pop Inspired Dance
Fun, energetic choreography that builds coordination, rhythm, and that "I can do it!" feeling.
🎭
Creative Mindful Movement
Imaginative movement games that spark joy and help kids express themselves freely.
🧘
Confidence-Boosting Yoga
Kid-friendly poses and breathing practices that calm nerves and build inner strength.
🎨

Why Parents Love This Camp
Your child will leave with more than just memories
Every activity is intentionally designed to build real skills that last long after summer ends.
⭐
Real Self-Confidence
Kids perform, create, and lead — not just watch. That feeling of "I did it!" carries into the school year.
🤸
Body Awareness & Coordination
Movement that's genuinely fun — kids get stronger and more coordinated without realizing they're "exercising."
💛
New Friends
A welcoming, inclusive environment where every kid belongs — especially the ones who aren't "sporty" or "artsy" yet.
🧠
Emotional Regulation Skills
Breathing tools and mindfulness practices they can actually use when they feel overwhelmed or anxious.
🌟
A Growth Mindset
Small wins every single day build the "I can try hard things" attitude that serves kids for life.
🎤
Creative Self-Expression
Movement, art, and performance woven together so every type of kid finds their version of being a star.
A Peek Inside
What a typical day looks like
Each morning is a full experience — energizing, calming, creative, and fun in one session.
-
We start with an energetic music-and-movement warm-up to get bodies and brains ready. Think: K-Pop beats, yoga breathing, and big smiles!
-
Instructor-led choreography broken into approachable steps. No experience needed — just willingness to move and laugh.
-
Creative yoga flows, partner poses, and breathing games designed specifically for kids. Builds focus, flexibility, and calm.
-
Each day's art activity connects to the week's theme — kids create something meaningful to take home and show off.
-
We close with a grounding practice and a confidence affirmation. Kids leave feeling full — in every sense of the word.
Is This the Right Camp?

😊
Kids who want more confidence
Shy kids blossom here. Small, safe wins every single day.
💚
Kids who need to move their bodies

Tara Maria Willits
Founder · The Mindfulness Movement
Tara is a teacher-trained yoga and mindfulness educator who has worked directly with thousands of Minnesota kids through school residency programs, community education, and enrichment camps. She's not teaching from a manual — she's in the room, on the mat, leading every session with heart and humor.
The Mindfulness Movement partners with school districts across the Twin Cities metro to bring research-backed wellness education to kids who need it most. Every camp Tara creates is built from her time actually in schools — watching what works, what kids light up for, and what helps families breathe a little easier.

Absolutely not! Pop-Star Power is designed for beginners and experienced movers alike. Every activity is broken down step-by-step, and our whole approach is about fun and building confidence — not performing perfectly. Whether your child has never done a yoga pose or dances in every room of the house, they'll fit right in from day one.
-
Pop-Star Power is designed for kids in Kindergarten through 6th grade (roughly ages 5–12). The activities are intentionally designed to work across this age range — older kids help lead, younger kids get to explore, and everyone leaves feeling accomplished.
-
Just the basics! Your child should wear comfortable clothes they can move in (leggings, athletic wear, or anything flexible is great). Bring a water bottle, a snack, and closed-toed shoes. No yoga mat is required — we provide all materials. For craft days, we handle all supplies.
-
Each session has limited enrollment to keep the experience personal, fun, and safe. This is not a giant gymnasium full of kids — it's a small, intentional group where your child will actually be seen and celebrated. Current enrollment is filling up, so we encourage early registration to secure your spot.
-
Yes! Pop-Star Power runs as a supervised drop-off morning camp. Drop off and pick up details are provided upon enrollment through your district's community education portal. Parents are welcome to peek in during pickup — you might catch a mini performance!
-
This might actually be the perfect fit. The Mindfulness Movement's approach is rooted in creating safe, low-pressure environments where every child can find their pace. We don't put kids on the spot — we build trust slowly, celebrate small wins loudly, and use mindfulness tools that give anxious kids something concrete to rely on. Many of our most enthusiastic repeat campers were shy on day one.
